Mondios Vranac Selection
Harvesting: Selective harvesting at the middle of September
Vinification: Classic, fermentation takes place in contact with the berry exocarp (maceration) for 14 days in the vinificators at the temperature of 60.8 F.
Ageing: The 24-months ageing process starts in 225 L oak barriques and continues minimum 12 months in a bottle.
Wine description: For the oenophiles we have carefully selected the best quality grapes and made a special serie of wine: Mondios Vranac Selection. Mondios Vranac Selection is a dry high quality red wine with the intense dark ruby color; rich in a wide range of aromas that resemble white chocolate, tobacco, ripe cherries, white pepper, dried plums, wild berries, blueberries, and traces of aroma of oak and vanilla. It has a rich body, great harmony and a recognizable fullness and freshness of taste with a perfect finish. It has a great potential for storing in wine archives.
Food and wine: Equilibrium with this wine is achieved with all kinds of red meat, prosciutto, fish, lamb and roasted beef, including combination with fefer sauce, tartar beefsteak, duck and smoked meat. It perfectly matches with all the hard cheeses, gorgonzola and parmesan.
Serving: Recommended to be served at room temperature: 64.4 F – 68 F. In order to taste the strength of this wine, decant 30 minutes prior to consuming.
